Crazy Fisherman Fights Catfish in a Swollen River in a Bad Storm [VIDEO]

This dude is crazy.

I mean, who heads out to a dangerous flooded river in a torrential downpour just to go fishing?

The answer to that is Tony Accart, a French angler who redefines “die-hard fisherman.”

This guy is hardcore. He jumps into the swollen waterway with no regard for his own safety, hopping over the crashing waves just long enough to cast.

After a few casts, he gets a bite. The fight is on.

What a battle.

He has no real leverage, and he’s expending energy just to stay on his feet–so he’s relying on arm strength and grittiness.

At the 3:10 mark, he starts moving closer to shore, where his friend waits to help.

It’s a monster cat. Check it out at the 3:46 mark.

Wow.
