Dog Saves Fawn From Drowning…Sort Of [VIDEO]

BrysquickhitsWe cull the internet in search of the latest outdoors-related tidbits, YouTube clips, photos, memes, you name it. Stuff you HAVEN’T seen before, hopefully. If it’s amusing, entertaining, educational or astonishing, you’ll find it here. Check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and see what’s new.

Credit goes to Reddit for today’s video.

In it, an enthusiastic golden retriever(?) named Storm drags a struggling fawn from the water back to dry land.

“Storm is trying to save this baby deer,” says Storm’s owner as the video starts. “I THINK he’s trying to save him,” the man adds.

We’re not sure either.

Storm gets the fawn back to shore…and that’s when things take a turn.

Instead of leaving the fawn be, Storm decides he wants a playmate (or a meal). He pesters the exhausted fawn until it runs away, much to the chagrin of his owner.

According to CBS news, the fawn was so scared that she went BACK into the water to escape, and needed to be rescued by an actual wildlife officer.

The fawn is recovering at a rescue shelter. Storm is probably causing trouble back at home.
