Fisherman Catches Bald Eagle [VIDEO]

BrysquickhitsWe cull the internet in search of the latest outdoors-related tidbits, YouTube clips, photos, memes, you name it. Stuff you HAVEN’T seen before, hopefully. If it’s amusing, entertaining, educational or astonishing, you’ll find it here. Check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and see what’s new.

The guys from Kitetail Lures were fishing in Alaska when an eagle became entangled in the line.

They untangled the bald eagle and released it, but it was struggling to swim back to shore.

Eagles are adept at fishing, but from time to time they “overshoot” and end up in the water——leaving them with no choice but to paddle back to shore. If an eagle is too far from shore, though, their wings can get waterlogged…and I don’t have to tell you the rest.

These guys weren’t about to let the bald eagle die, so they plucked it out of the water, threw a towel over its head, and got to work drying its wings.

I can’t overstate just how dangerous this is. A confused bald eagle in an enclosed space…that’s a recipe for disaster.

That thing could tear you to shreds.

But this guy handles it like a pro (almost like he’s done this before), and the eagle flies away.

Great job, guys.
