Fishermen Rescue Two Brown Bear Cubs from Drowning [VIDEO]

Two wild brown bear cubs would surely have drowned if not for the help of two kind fishermen.

The anglers were visiting Lake Vygozero in the Karelia region of Russia when they spotted the two cubs trying to cross the lake.

The cubs were sinking fast, and their mother was nowhere to be found.

So the fishermen approached the cubs. Not surprisingly, the cubs grabbed onto the hull, happy for the help.

It’s fun watching the fishermen corral the cubs with nets—but it’s a little heartbreaking hearing the cubs call out for their mother.

A lot of the comments are in Russian, but from what I could tell, the fishermen did bring the cubs to a bear sanctuary, so hopefully the youngsters get a chance at a normal life.

Kudos to these two good samaritans. The cubs would almost certainly have drowned without the help.
