Check Out This Crazy Guy Fishing During Hurricane Irma [VIDEO]

BrysquickhitsWe cull the internet in search of the latest outdoors-related tidbits, YouTube clips, photos, memes, you name it. Stuff you HAVEN’T seen before, hopefully. If it’s amusing, entertaining, educational or astonishing, you’ll find it here. Check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and see what’s new.

It’s gonna take more than a Category 3 hurricane to stop this guy from fishing.

A field reporter for WESH 2 News in Orlando was warning people about the 110 mile-per-hour winds and 12-foot waves when his cameraman caught a glimpse of a guy fishing during the worsening conditions.

The reporter — reacting with a mix of genuine concern, exasperation, and embarrassment from being undermined — reminds viewers that they should NOT be fishing on the beach. Ya know, in case anyone was wondering if it was a good idea.

“There should not be a gentleman right now in the ocean,” he says. “Let’s not show that,” he tell his cameraman.

We have to admire a man who refuses to be deterred by the “minor” inconvenience of a hurricane.

The dude in the background is my hero…
