Good Dog Retrieves Deer For His Owner [VIDEO]

BrysquickhitsWe cull the internet in search of the latest outdoors-related tidbits, YouTube clips, photos, memes, you name it. Stuff you HAVEN’T seen before, hopefully. If it’s amusing, entertaining, educational or astonishing, you’ll find it here. Check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and see what’s new.

Aren’t labs the very best?

This writer thinks so.

Today’s video only serves to reinforce my already well-founded belief. It comes from Adam M. of North Carolina, who was hunting in a party when a club member shot a doe.

Unfortunately, the doe didn’t die until it tried swimming across a pond.

“While everyone in the club was trying to figure out how to get the deer and where to get a boat, I thought to myself, we have Sam with us and we can send him to retrieve the deer,” Adam wrote in the video description.

Now that is a good boy.

“I know what you’re thinking,” wrote Adam, “a duck dog going to get a deer that is close to 200 yards away is crazy.”

But Sam the lab made it look easy. Because a properly trained lab with this kind of drive will do just about anything for his owner.

Here’s a picture of Sam with his quarry. We hope he got a big slab of venison for his effort.
