They think they’re so tough.

Well, next time you see a youngster walking around with his chest puffed out and fists clenched, just go to the nearest tree and rub it so hard that it literally shakes.

That’s what this monster mule deer does:

Wowie. Look at the size of him.

You might be inclined to think the bucks in the foreground are big…at least until you get a glimpse of this guy.

That’s a good-sized pine tree——probably a little bigger than most Christmas trees——and he makes it look like a toothpick.

Hunters know this, but for those of you who don’t, the buck is rubbing and scraping to remove the velvet from his antlers. Most mulie rubs aren’t as noticeable as whitetail rubs…but we’re guessing that you’d be able to spot this rub if you were paying attention.

And that rack would look pretty good on the wall, eh?
