Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament & Challenges is excited to announce its new partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of New Jersey. Organizers say the largest fishing tournament in the Northeast looks forward to raising dollars to help fund a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s, and Myeloma.
The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament is a family-friendly event that runs annually from April 1 – November 30th and is open to everyone. Anglers can fish in any saltwater in New Jersey from the beach, boat, kayak, pier, or jetty. You could be as far north as Sandy Hook, N.J. or as far south and west as the Delaware Bay, N.J. or anywhere in between such as Belmar, Long Beach Island, Atlantic City, or Wildwood. You can fish for just one day or all 240 days. This tournament allows everyone to engage in something fun while raising money to cure or treat cancer. You never know what miracle you will come upon with your family and you never know what you will catch! Click to get more information or sign up for the tournament!
The tournament has drawn more than 10,000 fishermen, fisherwomen and fisherkids from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and as far away as Alaska since 2013 and is now setting the stage to raise money for cancer treatment in New Jersey.
“There is no other organization that offers the best resources available to support the amazing breakthroughs that LLS has to offer. Money raised accelerates miraculous new treatments and healing therapies that were once thought to be impossible to hundreds of thousands of people diagnosed with blood cancer. “We are going to raise money and fish for a cure,” says Angler Mike Cerelli, associate tournament director.”

LLS’s continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They’re even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They’ll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
