Story: Several years ago, the urban lakes in the Tempe, Arizona, area took a terrible hit to their fish population by an outbreak of golden algae. Many thousands of mature bass, crappie, bluegill, etc., perished. After treating the waters and stocking new fish and years of healthy fish growth, the lakes are now producing some nice fish. The photo shows my friend Tony Giallombardo boating a healthy largemouth. It's evidence the fish are doing well and on the rebound. This particular lake is a artificial lure / catch and release ONLY lake. (Report by Raymond Sara)
