First Squirrel Hunt

It was Christmas Break and my boys had been asking me to go hunting all season, but the days just didn’t line up. They had been out for turkey in the spring and been fishing and frog hunting all summer, but hadn’t had a chance to go for anything in the fall. Deer season was closed, but gray squirrel was still open. It was perfect! We bagged a couple for the day and my friend took this picture as we were walking away from where we ate lunch. Great day and perfect way to introduce them to the hunt!

My daughter is only 5 months old, but I’m already dreaming of winter hunts with her when she is older!
