First things first, a big shout-out to our friends at Wide Open Spaces for digging up this gem of a video.
They found it first, but it’s just too good not to share.
This hunter was removing the skull cap and rack when he found something amazing lodged in the buck’s skull.
Upon closer inspection, it was a broadhead…along with a couple inches of the shaft.
The deer’s eye was swollen over, so the guy knew something wasn’t right. But I doubt he’d have guessed the issue was a broadhead in the grey matter.
Long story short, this buck got shot in the eye with a broadhead and didn’t die. That’s crazy to me.
I assume the broadhead came from this archery season. So at least the buck didn’t have to live with what must have been excruciating pain for more than a couple months.
I’m glad this guy put the animal out of its misery. And he’s got a cool story to tell!
