46th Annual Minnesota Sportsmen’s Boat, Camping, Vacation Show Jan. 14-17

Ready for winter to be over? Outdoor enthusiasts in the Midwest can think spring at the 46th Annual Minnesota Sportsmen’s Boat, Camping, Vacation Show Jan. 14-17 at RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minn.

Tom's News Item On St. Paul SportsmensShow 2 1-16The show will feature hundreds of exhibits including new model boats, motors, docks, marine electronics, fishing gear, RVs, and hunting and camping equipment. Representatives from lodges, resorts, campgrounds, and outfitters will also be on hand to help plan that next vacation.

“The Great American Duck Races” return to the show after several years’ absence. Robert Duck (his real name) and his troupe of two-dozen racing mallards provide fun for all ages. Other features include animals from “Fur-Ever Wild,” including live wolves, cougars, foxes, and more, as well as “Steve Porter’s Trophy Whitetails,” which feature three magnificent live bucks on display. Of course, fishing in the trout pond is a Sportsmen’s Show staple.

Fishing seminar headliners include Joe Henry, Lake of the Woods specialist, on Thursday and Friday, and pro angler Ted Takasaki during the weekend. Hunters offering advice include outdoor writer Todd Amenrud on Thursday and Friday, and Jared Scheffler from “Whitetail Adrenaline” on Saturday and Sunday. Ron Schara hosts the special Kids Fishing School on Saturday and Sunday.

Admission to the Minnesota Sportsmen’s Show is $9 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are admitted free. There is a $2 discount coupon available online.

Thursday, January 14: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday, January 15: noon – 9 p.m.
Saturday, January 16: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday, January 17: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Parking: Attendees are encouraged to park in the RiverCentre Parking Ramp, which is located on Kellogg Boulevard and offers skyway access to Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
