A 24-Hour Prairie Goat Hunt

Snow and rain in early October 2005 made the antelope hunting conditions in southeast Montana tough. The conditions made travel on the muddy roads nearly impossible. I was about to turn around and head home when I spotted two suspicious looking white spots in some sage about 1/2-mile from the road. It was antelope — a kid and small buck!

Bombardier’s Is History Of Inventions

It’s said that necessity is the mother of invention, but I think inventions come from a mix of needs, dreams and desire. That’s why I love the picture, taken sometime in Quebec during the winter of 1957. In the picture, Joseph Armand Bombardier is piloting the prototype, which would become the Ski-Doo snowmobile. Bombardier also became a player in the ATV market.
