Basketball Team Takes Home Trophy Buck

A southeastern Minnesota boys
high school basketball team recently scored two trophies in one night. The
first was for winning a holiday basketball tournament, and the second was a
10-point whitetail their bus dispatched on the drive home! You’ll also read
about how a hunter’s trailcam fingered two treestand
thieves, and much more!

Bus Bags Buck
For many city folks, the thought of a dead deer being transported in the aisle
of a public school bus might seem unusual. But it didn’t bother the members of
the Rushford-Peterson
High School

basketball team, whose bus hit and killed a magnificent 10-point buck while
returning from a game in a holiday tournament one night between Christmas and
New Years.

their home, it seemed downright natural — and absolutely the right thing to
do.
