Matt K. was ice-fishing earlier this week when he got a surprise visit from a very curious beaver.
The critter—likely curious about this intruder in his territory—saunters up to the bemused ice fisherman, sniffs his flasher fishfinder, then moseys along.
Beavers have a keen sense of smell, and once they detect another scent in their territory, finding the intruder takes priority, even over finding foot.
Maybe this beaver has grown accustomed to human scent. Whatever the reason, he doesn’t seem aggravated by the angler’s presence.
