Bow Hunt Interrupted by Over 100 Wood Ducks [VIDEO]

We cull the internet in search of the latest outdoors-related tidbits, YouTube clips, photos, memes, you name it. Stuff you HAVEN’T seen before, hopefully. If it’s amusing, entertaining, educational or astonishing, you’ll find it here. Check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and see what’s new.

Jeremy Z. was bow hunting in Minnesota last October when his hunt was interrupted by over a hundred wood ducks looking for grub.

It’s hard to be mad in instances like this.

Sure, the wood ducks probably sent any nearby whitetails running…but how often are you going to get front-row seats to a wood duck feed?

Check out the footage:

Witnessed one of the coolest things I've seen in the woods tonight while bow hunting. Wood duck acorn feed well over 100 woodies getting their grub on!

The woodies are absolutely oblivious to Jeremy’s presence, which means his blind and camo were the right choice for the hunt.

Wood ducks are unique in that they feed by walking on land. They’re probably looking for acorns here, but they’ll also eat berries, seeds and bugs. Which means they taste good—especially compared to the diver species like bluebills and goldeneyes.

It’s a shame Jeremy can’t take one or two of them back to camp.
