Heavy rain and melting snow flooded Yosemite Valley in the early weeks of April, closing the park—but providing some awe-inspring footage.
The park was still covered in snow in the middle of March, and rising temperatures caused a massive melt-off that brought most of its 50 waterfalls to life.
Some roads were covered with as much as four feet of water, making getting around the park a difficult—and often dangerous—affair. Visitors were evacuated in advance, leaving only the staff and cleanup crews to soak it all in.
So turn up the volume and enjoy!
