Chemo Kids Fish Off Event Was A Great Success!

On June 6, the 23rd annual Chemo Kids Fish Off was held in Aransas Pass, Texas. The Chemo Kids Fish off is an annual excursion that allows children with cancer to take their minds off chemotherapy and enjoy the sunshine and hopefully catch a few fish!

With the help of the Coastal Bend Guides Association nearly 40 patients from Driscoll Children’s hospital boarded the boats of volunteer fishing guides at Hampton’s Landing Marina. After spending the day on the water, the children returned to land where they weighed and filleted the fish, made a print of their catch, and were recognized at an awards ceremony. The children were also treated to a hot dog lunch.

A big thanks to all who volunteered to make the 23rd annual Chemo Kids Fish off a great success!
