How do you do…your turkey?

Happy Thanksgiving! I want to keep it simple for the holiday. Surely everyone has a certain way the turkey gets cooked. Or eaten. I thought about this quirky poem that centers a lot around butter, and below is an excerpt from Elizabeth Alexander’s “Butter”:

“…Growing up

we ate turkey cutlets sautéed in lemon

and butter…”

Ok, not sure about the sautéed part. Personally, the best thing about turkey is enjoying it with EVERYTHING on my plate, all at the same time. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry (from the can, of course), corn and mashed potatoes all being eaten at the SAME time.

So, what’s your secret turkey recipe? Or is there a certain way you cook or enjoy turkey?
