Matt Heron was fly fishing near Lake Tahoe, California, when he hooked the trout of a lifetime.
The fish was much bigger than the stream would suggest, and after a good battle, Matt gets the net out and goes for it…only to whiff.
So he does what any dedicated angler would do: he dives into the water to corral the trout into the net.

What a fish.
The monster brown trout measures 30″ on the dot. After a few pics, he lets it go.
“I’m totally soaked,” Matt says, “and, uh, it was well worth it. I’ll take getting wet any day for a fish like that.”
What would YOU do to land the fish of a lifetime?
