It was an awesome deer season in the books!
Late in the morning a buck appeared behind me and walked past me in the thick brush. He came out from the thicket … I made the shot and recovered my buck about 50 yards away.
We met at 20 yards, the wind was perfect and at 8 yards, I sent a Toxic Broadhead through his heart.
Two deer walked up to me in my blind while I was drinking a cup of coffee. I dropped the coffee and grabbed the gun!
I ran a scent line, and he came across a food plot to check the scent.
Once he turned broadside I held about 17 inches above his heart and let the .50-cal go to work.
Three days of spot and stalk hunting on reclaimed Coal Mine property. It was a 57-yard shot for the kill.
Fifteen minutes after daylight, this nice 10-point was 10 yards away. I made my shot sending a Thunderhead broadhead through the buck. After about 30 yards he went down!
He made his way in to about 20 yards and presented a great broadside shot. I raised my bow, pulled back, and let the arrow fly.
