Golden Redhorse Record Falls in Minnesota

There must be something in the water! On May 8, Chad Wentzel of Minneapolis, Minn., caught this record-breaking Golden Redhorse on the Root River in Fillmore County, Minn. It measured 21.5 inches in length with a 12.5-inch girth. It weighed 4-lbs., which just barely broke the old state record of 3 lbs., 15 ozs. Congratulations Chad!

Are you a state record holder? Or have you broken a state record? Or, have you had a fish on that you KNEW was HUGE, but it got off by the boat or dock! Tell us about it!
