Just a Lazy Old Grizzly Bear Fishing [VIDEO]

You will never be as good at fishing as a grizzly bear.

Especially a grizzled old veteran (no pun intended) like this. It looks like he’s been a pro his whole life.

The footage was captured by avid outdoorsman and professional wildlife photographer Ethan Patrick. If I had to guess, I’d say it was taken somewhere in Katmai National Park, Alaska.

The bear is enjoying the life we all wish we could have: relaxing by the water’s edge, lifting his head up once and a while to look for an easy meal, and drifting off to sleep.

It doesn’t take him long to land his first fish. Check it out:

He lunges waist-deep into the running water, submerged for only a brief moment before he surfaces with his quarry: a nice-looking silver salmon.

He retreats just a few feet into a thicket to enjoy his meal.

Lucky guy.

We’ve heard that the bears in Alaska all have their own unique fishing method. If that’s true, this bruin has to be especially talented.
