    Just a quick note…

That monster brook trout in the last question was caught in Manitoba by Tim Matheson, and weighed in at almost 16 lbs. Based on the length and girth measurements taken, this fish should be the world record…BUT, as the International Game Fish Association requires fish to be weighed on certified scales, this fish does not qualify. At any rate, it’s a tremendous catch!

Number 6 is wrong. The first photo of the small catfish on the concrete is a blue catfish. Look at the straight not curved shape to the edge of thr anal fin. Also, nearly all small channel catfish are spotted, this catfish isn’t. The second photo displayed after you answer is correct in being a channel catfish.

HE SEEMS CORRECT, EVEN THOUGH I GUESSED CHANNEL. EVEN SMALL CHANNELS HAVE SPOTS. CHANNEL SEEMS QUESTIONABLE, SHOWING IMMATURE PICTURES OF FISH IS ASKING FOR PROBLEMS. THAT MONSTER BROOK IS HARDLY RECOGNIZABLE ALSO!

Ya I agree, the catfish seemed likely to get most of us- the Brook Trout was a dead giveaway- but I live in Montana and have consumed every Brookie I’ve hooked. They overpopulate the clear freshwater and compete with the native fish.

I’m from Georgia. Most of the fish on this quiz are not around here. I still got 6/8. Not bad for an old southern boy that has never seen most of the fish on here.

I got 7 as I have never been a trout expert, maybe I can soon? I feel like the other fellow on the catfish is correct on the blue catfish as far as Texas goes. It was fun!

Living on the east coast of Maine I knew it would be one of the cat’s that would get me. Though 7/8 is pretty good. Love to land a brookie like the one shown.

Missed the last one but being from South Texas, we don’t have a lot of trout roaming these waters although I wish we did. I have eaten them and they are very tasty.
