Game Roast in Foil


4- to 6-lb. moose, elk or venison roast

1/2 lb. sliced bacon

3 or 4 slices lemon

1/2 cup red wine

1 (1 1/2-oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix

Salt and pepper to taste

Place roast in center of a double layer of foil. Add remaining ingredients. Seal package and place in roasting pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Slice meat and serve with juices, or thicken juices to make gravy and serve with wild rice.
