Smokey Bluegill Tacos


  • 1 tsp  garlic powder
  • 1 tsp  Spanish smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 3/8 tsp  kosher salt
  • 6 blue gills
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1-1/2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
  • 2-1/2 tsp canned chilies  (chopped)
  • 1 diced avocado
  • Flour tortillas


Preheat broiler on high. Combine garlic, paprika, coriander, pepper, and 1/4 tsp salt in small bowl. Brush fish with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning mixture and place on cookie sheets. Broil for 5 minutes until fish flakes. Combine 1/8 tsp salt, cilantro, chilies, and avocado, and lightly mash in small bowl. Heat the tortillas, and put fish on them, and place avocado mixture on top of each tortilla.
