Seventh Annual Minnesota Fishing Challenge Benefit May 30

The Seventh Annual Minnesota Fishing Challenge tournament is set for Saturday, May 30 at Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake near Brainerd.

The event benefits Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, a faith-based organization dedicated to helping people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

The tournament has separate divisions for bass, walleye, northern pike, panfish, and a mixed bag. Bag limits are low with three each for bass, walleye and panfish, one for pike – the advantage is all teams can be in contention.

Teams can enter one or as many divisions as they like – all for the $100 total entry fee. A maximum of 150 teams can register. Donations and fees are tax deductible.

“This is a fun event because contestants catch fish on Gull Lake at the best time while raising funds for people who are facing alcohol and drug addictions,” Lindner said, “I strongly believe we can make a difference by raising funds for MN Adult and Teen Challenge. I know it positively impacts boys, girls, men, women, and their families.”
