It’s clean, handy, and a good abrasive … I’m talking about “Soap in a sock.”
One of the many handy uses of a nylon stocking is as a camp soap bar holder. Drop a bar of hand soap into the toe of a nylon stocking, tie off the end in a big loop and you have a convenient, non-slippery, hang-to-dry bar of soap at your disposal.
Slip the loop over your wrist while washing and it won’t fall into the water or sand. Also, the nylon mesh acts as a mini-scrub brush.
Hang it up for quick drying, too.
