Story: I was bow hunting from my tree stand on the morning before gun season opened. Late in the morning a buck appeared behind me and walked past me in the thick brush. As it disappeared in a thicket, I stood, turned my can call for a doe bleat and blew a quick grunt, hoping the scent bombs I placed would help seal the deal even if he got down wind. Within moments the buck came out from the thicket and stopped almost directly under me. I made the shot and recovered my buck about 50 yards away.
