Story: There are six of us that gather together in southern Indiana for our annual bow hunt. This will be our 9th season at a place we like to call Crown Ridge. After checking the game cameras, I noticed a buck I had not seen since August had returned and was all over the property. My wife had nicknamed him "The Beast," and as we gathered together for dinner before our opening morning we all marveled at this monster. To make a long story short, after dropping everyone off for the morning hunt, I parked the Ranger and walked to a ladder stand climbed up and waited for day to break. Little did I know that by 8 a.m. Friday, November 6th my 2015 bow season would be over as quick as it started! As "The Beast" made his way down the steep hill in front of me, he crossed a shallow creek and stopped just 28 yards from my stand and the rest is history! The mass on this deer throughout his entire rack is unbelievable. We guessed he is 5.5 years old!
