Joe Calvert

“Buford” came up behind my left side along with a doe. She winded me but due to the heavy leaf cover still on, she could not find me. She continued to look until he walked up. I could tell he was near the ears and had decent tine height. I shot him through the leaves from 25 yards. It hit a little higher than I wanted but he still went down. This was the first time that “ground growth” had ever occurred. He was bigger than I imagined and I am very happy to have this deer! He is another deer taken by Team Crown Ridge.
