I was practicing for bowling pin shooting when my son caught this shot as my Chip McCormick .45 Combat Government Model went into battery. Unfortunately, my son’s lucky snapshot didn’t capture the three empty .45 ACP casings in the air, but he did get a nice shot of my banana on the bench which was my late-morning snack. It was a rather chilly morning for that time of year, thus the coveralls. I cleared SIX bowling pins at a distance of 70-feet rather than the standard 50-ft. distance 3.1 seconds. Sadly, I only won five of the 24 matches I competed in that year. I never performed that well or that fast in actual competition. After all, I was 55 years old at the time, and most of the shooters were in their 20s or 30s. Still a fine picture which I am quite proud of.
