Day in The Field

Pita, my German Shorthair Pointer, and I were hunting on property owned by my wife and I that we are developing into pheasant/wildlife habitat. Pita pointed a rooster. My wife Tonya then captured the flush just prior to me shooting the bird. It was a gorgeous snowy December afternoon. Pita retrieved the bird, that was later enjoyed for dinner. She flushed at least one more rooster on that hunt along with several hens.

The one time Steve got a bird his wife got the picture! He usually misses. He usually lets his wife shoot them all because he is such a gentleman hunter

What a great shot of that bird…………….yours too, Steve. This is really a cool picture, you don’t often get to see them in flight.
