A farmer in Kanarraville, Utah, caught a young bobcat that had been killing chickens in his chicken coop, and handed the animal over to the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources the day after Thanksgiving.
Officer Josh Carver held the bobcat overnight and fed it leftover turkey before releasing it a few days later.
The bobcat release didn’t exactly go smoothly.
This little guy is all riled up, taking swipe after swipe at the two officers attempting to open the oddly complicated cage.
It might seem silly for two grown men to be this cautious, but even a tiny bobcat can tear you up if it gets ahold of you.
Could you imagine an angry little animal like this latching onto your arm or leg and digging in with its teeth and rear claws? No thanks.
At any rate, Officer Carver eventually gets the cage open, and the kitty turns its attention from its captors to its newfound freedom, and slinks away.
