The wahoo is a saltwater gamefish found worldwide in tropical and subtropical seas. It’s popular among sports fishermen because it tastes amazing and, as you’ll see in the video, it’s a lot of fun to catch.
They reach good size, stay close to land, and fight like crazy on light to medium tackle. Most of the fun is on the first run — they can really move, and when they go airborne, they can really get up their.
Watching the fish fly is a real treat. While I do love it here, landlocked Minnesota isn’t the place for gamefish.
