The Sportsman’s Guide ammo buyer Brent Nymeyer says the secret to the shell’s long distance range is its new Shot-Lok technology. That means they came up with a hardened resin tube that encapsulates the lead pellets, which results in the shot launching from the barrel near perfectly round – resulting in tighter patterns at longer ranges.
Winchester® says the result is 10 percent greater penetration beyond 50 yards, and twice the pellets in a 10-inch circle out to 60 yards.
We have not tried them yet, but wonder if any of our Guide Outdoors readers have used them and can tell us how they performed? If you haven’t used them … what shells do you use that usually result in a turkey dinner?
